Who have you been cheated by?

Aramark

In the state of Colorado, when you apply for a new Driver’s License, they give you a piece of paper which IS your LEGAL driver’s license along with your old DL with a hole in it.

I specifically asked, “Will this prevent me from buying alcohol?”. The specific answer was “No, it should not”.

Apparently, the “should” was more of a “should” than I thought.

I went a Denver Nuggets basketball game, where Aramark is the catering company.  They have a corporate policy to not accept the legal paper driver’s licenses, even if you have the hole-punched version with you to prove who you are and that you are legally over 21.  I spoke with 3 different people, all of which confirmed this to me.

While this isn’t specifically me being “cheated” it is extremely frustrating, since the state considers that piece of paper to be a legal document.  If I was to get pulled over, or caught with a gram of crack (This is me being facetious…I don’t do/sell crack), it would be proof enough of who I am and I would be promptly put in jail. However, I am not able to buy a beer, which hurts no one.
